Meaning of life, Islam’s perspective
Every chapter has a purpose
Every chapter in your life serves a purpose. Yes, even the ‘bad’ ones. The Almighty never wastes anything that He puts you through. So whenever you feel hopeless or alone, close your eyes; remember that He’s with you. He will never abandon you. Trust that better days are coming!

Prostration and supplication
Do not weep from a life that made your heart weep, just say ‘O Allah (God) compensate me with good in this life and the hereafter.’
Sadness departs with a sajdah (prostration in prayer) and happiness comes with a sincere du’a (supplication to God)

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
A bad deed which you regret in your heart is a thousand times better than the good deed that makes you feel proud.
Imam Ali (AS)
Three habits destroy a man or woman: greed, envy, and pride.
Imam Ghazzali
Your first bath was done by someone and your last bath will be done by someone, so where are you going with your pride and arrogance?

Faith is a journey
Awakening to faith is not a one-time event, but a continuously unfolding reality. The journey of faith is not a race, but a marathon of love that each person walks at a different pace.

Remembrance and brokenness
“Some got closer to Allah because of their trials and others have left His remembrance because of their ease”
When you go through trials, use this opportunity to get closer to Allah. Sometimes our lives get too comfortable and we forget about The Almighty. We should always remember God through trials and ease.

Allah uses broken things beautifully. Broken clouds pour rain. Broken soil sets as fields. Broken crop yields seeds. Broken seeds gives life to new plants. So when you feel you are broken, be rest assured that Allah is planning to utilize you for something great.

Heart corrupters
The five heart corrupters are: excessive socializing, wishful thinking, attachment to others besides Allah [God], eating to one’s fill, and sleep.

From child to man
I am certainly amazed that a man can be with his family like a child (humble and playful), but if he is called forth, he is found to be a true man (strong and courageous).

A world of perception
This is a world in which everything is perception. The only perception that matters is how you see yourself and how Allah (God) sees you.
