We don’t always have control over what happens in life, but we do have control over how we percieve events. Islam allows us to tear through the darkness and see the light.

Good deeds, no matter how small
Never get tired of doing good deeds. The most beloved deeds to Allah (God) are not the biggest but the most consistent, even if it is small.

Focus on this moment
Don’t spend so much time grieving over the past or worrying about the future that you miss out on the present.
The moment you’re in right now can serve as an expiation of your past and elevation of your future.

The most beloved

A silver lining in every trial
If you could see the entire plan the Almighty has for you, would you still complain? He is indeed the Best Planner. If you could see the end results of all your trials, would you still be miserable? Remember, there’s a silver lining in every challenge. Keep going. Trust Him.

Make an effort to ponder
Know that pain comes with standing by the truth just like all the Prophets endured. Faith does not mean you will not have sadness, like Ya’qub (Jacob) was sad for having been separated from [his son] Yusuf (Joseph); you cannot be reduced to a past mistake either like Musa (Moses) was not in regards for killing a man accidentally; people degrading you does not take away from Allah honouring you just like Mariam (Mary). These stories are live and forever relevant. Make an effort to ponder.

Cleansing the heart
Is your heart at ease? A diseased heart won’t be at ease. If you want to feel the sweetness of worship, cleanse your heart. Get rid of pride, hatred, envy & anything that gets in the way of being fully focused on the Almighty. It won’t happen overnight but you’ll get there.
