I feel your frustration. It's one of the reasons why I had to move away from Android. Google will always remain a Search and Advertising company. Consumers and their needs is the last thing on their mind, unless it generates them more profits.

I am still shocked that they still won't support Arabic (or any left to right languages) in Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

couldnt agree more on what you wrote..

what shocks is that 2.2 froyo supported arabic nicely,, how come newer version 2.3 gingerbread falls back instead of improving support!!!

They don't, at least not in a way I imagined. Applications still don't blend into the hubs and become indistinguishable from the rest of the os.

Besides, it's a great idea for a perfect world but applications with similar function will become not just redundancy but a clutter.

I was thinking about the same thing while writing this post. It seems like Microsoft is taking away from app developers so far with this hub concept. It will be interesting to see where things will go.

Talking about Hub, before WP is released, I once thought the Windows Phone application development is to push developers to make the application into something like plug in module to the OS instead of the usual application (interface of its own). So the application would use the OS' UI and provide mostly background stuffs and expanding functions.

I'm with you. I stopped using Android altogether and now hope to see Chrome so my tools work on the platform. I have tools that work great in desktop Chrome and Safari for iPhones and I'm anxious for Chrome to be a full featured browser on Android phones so my bookmarklet search engine tools work on the phones. I have targeted the iPad and laptop experience and less so with phones except iPhone works well. I can't wait fir Google!

Best wishes,
Disa

I've also had a similar issue with geolocation. My NexusOne was once stuck at a certain geolocation and refuses to change. No matter where I go in town it still thinks I am at another specific location. Had to factory reset the phone to fix the issue. I think it had to do with a bad app I installed once.
